1. Our service
GetOwnWeb designs and builds custom websites for small businesses for a flat, one-time fee. Work is invoiced only after the finished website has been reviewed and approved by you on a private staging link.
2. Payment
No deposit is required. The flat fee for your chosen package (currently $900 for a standard build and $450 for a migration) is invoiced once the project is finished and approved. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice via credit or debit card, ACH transfer, or PayPal.
3. Refunds
Because we never collect a deposit or any upfront payment, there is nothing to refund. You review the finished website on a private staging link and pay only once you are satisfied and have approved the work.

4. Ownership & handover
Upon final payment, all code, design files, and assets created for your project become your property in full. Hosting and domain accounts remain in your name throughout the engagement, so there is no additional “handover” step. You already own everything.
5. Revisions & changes
The standard build includes two rounds of design revisions on the staging link before launch. Additional rounds, or changes to the agreed scope, are billed hourly at $40/hour with a clear estimate provided beforehand.
6. Maintenance
Each active site includes up to one hour of free text or image edits per calendar month. Unused hours do not roll over. Work beyond the free hour is billed at $40/hour with itemised time-logs on every invoice.
7. Liability
We do our best to deliver a site that’s fast, secure, and reliable. That said, GetOwnWeb’s total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid for that project. We are not liable for third-party outages (hosting, DNS, payment providers) that are outside our control.
8. Cancellation
You can walk away at any time, with no notice period and no exit fee. If you cancel before launch, no fee is due. If you cancel after launch, simply remove our access from your WordPress admin; your site keeps running unaffected.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the “last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
